Kung Fu & Children
Kung Fu has become a generic name for all Chinese martial arts and there are thousands of different systems. However, they all have certain similarities that stem from their common cultural root and common philosophical concepts.
Children over 8 are introduced to Fanchento Kung Fu, a traditional but nonclassical system of Kung Fu. for more information see www.fanchento.co.uk
Many of the sensitivity drills we draw on are very similar to Wing Chun an art developed by women and relying on speed and sensitivity rather than strength.
Shao Chio (pronounced "Shwai Shao") is the national sport of China and champions are treated with the respect we hold top footballers in. Shao Chio focuses on dynamic throws and many aspects are very similar to Ju Jitsu. Many of our training forms are based on Shao Chio exercises.
