Tai Chi and Children

kids tai chiTai Chi (Tai Ji) is a refined Chinese martial art, famous for its health benefits for the elderly.

 

Although Tai Chi (Tai Ji) exercises are inappropriate for children and are not in accord with their developmental urges, MAE is influenced by the teaching principles and philosophy of Tai Chi.

 

We have selected a handful of Tai Chi exercises that have proved valuable in engendering physical balance and calmness in young students and children will develop strong foundations especially in terms of proprioception and orientation which may one day enhance their practice of Tai Chi.
